New Perspective for May – Understanding Boundaries

Quote of the Month:

"This above all - to thine own self be true."  William Shakespeare

New Perspective:

“Enforcing boundaries causes stress.  The stress is temporary, and each step will get easier, but in those first few weeks and months, take time to do the things you enjoy, and to physically experience the benefits of the boundaries you have begun to enforce.  Seeing small improvements is the greatest motivation to protect your boundaries.”

Questions/Actions to Ponder:

How would you answer the following:

1- Your best friend wants you to be a bridesmaid/best man - yes or no?

2- Your teenager wants to borrow your car but never fills up the tank - yes or no?

3- Your sibling has posted photos of you on Facebook.  How will you react?

4- Your partner doesn't feel that your boundaries are fair or balanced.  How will you work on compromises?
