Happy September!!

Each month I will be sending a new perspective out to you, along with a random quote.  I hope you enjoy the offering, and choose to explore a new perspective/viewpoint!

Personal Note:

As you saw in my Bio, I love to read and, when possible, to give you a shout-out about the books where I found the perspective, and the authors. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do and make space to try out these new experiences for yourself.

Quote of the Month:

“Keep your words positive, because your words become your behavior.”  Gandhi

 New Perspective:

Have you ever wondered what stress is and why you experience it?  Most people believe a situation can be stressful.  The truth is, stress doesn't exist outside of yourself and, therefore, no situation can be said to be stressful in itself.

Questions to Ponder:

Reframing Stress (Ex: sitting in a traffic jam):

1) Is the situation stressful in itself?

2) What would I need to believe to experience stress in this situation (Ex: There should never be a traffic jam)?

3) What would I need to believe to reduce stress in this situation (Ex: A traffic jam is a normal event like anything else)?
